Riley Mitchell

Riley was born and raised in Moncton, New Brunswick, but settled in Fredericton after graduating from law school at the University of New Brunswick in 2023. Prior to attending UNB, Riley attained her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy from St. Francis Xavier University in 2020. A proud STFX grad, Riley credits her undergraduate studies for solidifying her longtime interest in a legal career. Riley was called to the New Brunswick Bar in 2024 and wasted no time jumping into private practice. Having worked as a summer student then articling clerk in the family law space, she has established a practice in Family Law and Wills and Estates Law.

Riley emphasizes proactive and practical out-of-court solutions for her clients where appropriate, however, she possesses a strong set of litigation skills for resolutions in court. Riley has appeared in most judicial districts throughout the province and is poised to assist clients from all parts of New Brunswick. Currently, her litigation practice is primarily based in Fredericton and Saint John.

Riley’s work ethic and dedication to clients are foundational to her practice. As a result of her passion in the family law space, Riley spends a great deal of time at the Fredericton office at 57 Carleton Street. In moments away from work, Riley can be found on the golf course, at home with her partner, Peter, and their cats, Theo and Athena, or spending quality time with friends and family.
